With a history of development stretching back more than 200 years, the City of Mauldin has long been an important part of Greenville County. Conveniently located between Greenville and Simpsonville the city is the sixth fastest growing community in South Carolina and boasts the highest median income in all of Greenville County. While development in the area existed as far back at 1784, the city itself wasn't incorporated until 1910. The real flowering of the present City of Mauldin didn't really occur until after World War II.
Mauldin real estate is incredibly attractive and value priced. A full range of single family detached homes, condos and townhouses can be found in here - with properties available to match any taste or budget.
The City of Mauldin's name comes from South Carolina Lieutenant Governor W. L. Mauldin who was instrumental in getting the railroad to pass through the area. A train station named after Mauldin was established on the site of the present community and over time the name was applied to the entire area. The city motto is: Expect Great Things, and for local residents those great things include a dynamic and growing economy. With a growing population, the City of Mauldin offers its residents a full range of services while regional industries ensure a vibrant economic mix.
Historic, prosperous and expanding, the City of Mauldin is embracing the future as firmly as it evolved from its past.
