things to do in Greenville, SC over Spring Break

It might feel like Christmas Vacation was just a few weeks ago, but Spring Break for Greenville students is only a month away! In 2016, Spring Break falls just after Easter, and takes place from Monday, March 28th to Friday, April 1st. To keep your kids active and engaged throughout the week, we've put together a list of five kid-approved things to do in Greenville, SC over Spring Break. To be fair, these activities would be great any time of year and are fun for the young and young-at-heart members of your family.

Defy Gravity at Gravitopia Extreme Air Sports

Gravitopia is a trampoline facility like no other. With over 60 trampolines, launch decks, foam pits, flying trapeze, trampoline basketball and dodgeball, and many other activities, there's more than enough to entertain and tucker out the kids (and probably yourself!). Different programs and specials are offered throughout the week, like KidJump for ages 6 and under, Family Night, where the whole family can jump for only $35, and ClubGravity for ages 15 and up.

Have Fun Learning at The Children's Museum of the Upstate

The Children's Museum of the Upstate often appears on our "things to do in Greenville" lists because this state-of-the-art facility offers a perfect mix of hands-on learning and entertainment. It's also the only children's museum to be a Smithsonian Affiliate. During Spring Break, and throughout the year, visitors have access to a wide variety of programs that are included with the price of admission. Such programs include Random Acts of Science featuring new interactive science demos each week, and Fantastic Fridays that showcase the museum's traveling exhibits.

Go Wild at the Greenville Zoo

The Greenville Zoo is another local favorite and for good reason! Aside from a diverse collection of amazing animals, a great playground for preschoolers and a separate one for elementary school students (one of the biggest and best in all of Greenville), there are many free public programs to partake in. During Tell Me About it Tuesdays, knowledgeable staff and volunteers are on hand to talk about a featured animal ambassador. On Spring Break's Tuesday (March 29th), between 10:30am and 12:30pm, find them in front of the Giraffe exhibit. Side note: there's a new baby Masai giraffe!

Let Imaginations Soar at Bricks 4 Kidz

There are several reasons why LEGO® bricks are still popular with kids these days. Not only do they provide hours of fun and allow kids to use their imaginations, they also foster creativity, problem solving and critical thinking. While children are mostly concerned with those first two things, parents understand the importance of the others (and enjoy the accompanying nostalgia). As such, Bricks 4 Kidz is offering two separate fun-filled Spring Break camps this year, both of which are centered around a different theme. Guaranteed fun for kids and adults alike!

Where: Parkside Pediatrics at Verdae. 525 Verdae Blvd #200. Greenville, SC
